BESPOKE DESIGN

The word 'bespoke' stems from the 17th century term 'to be spoken for', where a length of cloth is set aside for personal patterns to be created for the wearer, from scratch, by the artisan tailor.

Every morton edwards garment is designed to fit the frame, the aspirations and the lifestyle of the customer perfectly, every time.

THE FITTING PROCESS

Ten days or so after initial measuring is the 'Forward' fitting... where any small adjustments can be made before the 'Fin Bar Fin' (finished bar finish) fitting prior to delivery a week later.

ALL NATURAL CLOTHS

morton edwards has a policy of only using the best natural cloths, sources exclusively from Yorkshire mills.

Comprehensive swatches of all cloths including wool, worsted, mohair, tweed, moleskin and silk are always on hand... whilst samples of any special cloths, such as Vicuna, are available at short notice.

Some cloths will settle with wear, so morton edwards offer a free refitting service three months after delivery to correct any slight changes that gravity, body heat and the environment may have imposed on your garment.
